Måns Magnusson

Måns Magnusson is an assistant professor at the Department of Statistics, Uppsala University. He wrote his PhD at Linköping University, entitled Scalable and Efficient Probabilistic Topic Model Inference for Textual Data (2018). Magnusson is interested in probabilistic models for textual data as well as how we can compare different probabilistic models for large data and complex models. Of special interest are models within a Bayesian framework and applications in History, Political Science, Literary science and Sociology. A couple of upcoming publications are Leave-one-out cross-validation for large data (2019) and Voices from the far right: a text analysis of Swedish parliamentary debates.
